  1. 4.1

    Electronic signatures for everyday contracts

    NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements, offer letters and most commercial contracts can be signed electronically. Signers receive a secure link, verify with an OTP and sign on any device without creating an account.

  2. 4.2

    Stamp duty, handled in the flow

    Where a contract attracts stamp duty, the envelope carries a stamp duty step. Attach the e-stamp certificate, record the state and article, and only then does signing open. The stamped copy is stored with the executed contract.

    Unstamped agreements cause trouble years later.

  3. 4.3

    Flags for documents that need a different process

    Some documents cannot be signed electronically under Indian law, such as negotiable instruments other than cheques, powers of attorney, trust deeds, wills and contracts for the sale or conveyance of immovable property. Azenye flags these so they follow the right process.

  4. 4.4

    An audit trail on every envelope

    Each executed contract carries a certificate showing who signed, when, from which IP address and how they were verified. The final PDF is sealed so any later change is detectable.

  5. 4.5

    Signing order and reminders

    Set the order of signers, add people who only need a copy, and let Azenye send reminders until everyone has signed. You see where every envelope is without chasing anyone.

    Executed copies filed automatically

    Once signed, the contract is filed with its metadata, its obligations are extracted into the Obligation Tracker and its renewal dates go to Renewal Alerts. Nobody has to upload anything again.

Questions about E-Sign Desk

Q1Is e-signature valid in India?

For most contracts, yes, under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Some documents need physical signatures or stamping, and Azenye flags those so they follow the right process.

Q2Do counterparties need an Azenye account?

No. External signers sign from a secure link after verifying their email or phone. They are never charged.

Q3Can we use Aadhaar eSign?

Aadhaar-based eSign through a licensed provider is available on the Master Agreement plan for documents where you want that level of signer identity.
