Responsible AI
How AI is used in contract review, what it does not do, and how your contracts are protected.
1. What the AI does
- Reads incoming contracts and maps each clause to the matching position in your playbook.
- Flags clauses that deviate from your positions and clauses that are missing.
- Explains each flag in plain English.
- Suggests redlines drawn from the fallback clauses your company has approved.
- Extracts parties, dates, values, obligations and renewal terms from signed contracts.
2. What it does not do
- It does not give legal advice. The Service is software, not a law firm.
- It does not approve, sign or send contracts on its own.
- It does not invent positions. Redlines come from your own fallback clauses.
3. People decide
Every AI suggestion is reviewed by a lawyer or an authorised person before it is accepted. Accepted and rejected suggestions are recorded, so you can always see who decided what.
4. Your contracts stay yours
Contracts are confidential and encrypted. They are never used to train AI models for other customers and never sold. AI providers we use process content only to return results, and may not retain it for training.
5. Execution and stamping
Documents that cannot be signed electronically under Indian law, or that need stamping, are flagged so they follow the right process.
6. Accuracy
AI can miss things or misread poor scans. Extracted data and flags are presented as suggestions to be confirmed. If you find an error, report it through the contact page so we can improve how the Service handles that case.
